Dear Stakeholders,
Since International Non-Profit Accounting Guidance Exposure Draft 1 (INPAG ED1) was launched on 20 November 2022, we have focused on sharing the content and proposals. But with the deadline for responses just 6 weeks away, we are pivoting to focus on hearing your feedback.
Earlier this month we had the immense pleasure of meeting stakeholders from Latin America and Caribbean in person, at our first physical outreach event since the project started in 2019. Percy from Peru said: “Thank you – it was a great experience! The most beneficial aspect was the quality of exhibitors and presenters. I now feel much more confident and motivated to submit a response to INPAG ED1”.

On 7 February we held a Consultation Meeting in Colombia with 49 people from 14 different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our thanks to SMS LatinoAmerica for sponsoring the networking cocktail at the end of a long but rewarding day! We would also like to appreciate KPMG in Panama City for hosting a fruitful meeting on 8 February. It was a particular joy to meet the many Country Champions from the region for the first time.
Upcoming Events
The focus for our February events is to provide an opportunity for relevant stakeholders to come together to consider, discuss and provide feedback on proposals in ED1, in preparation for submitting responses before the 31 March 2023 deadline. The Africa and Asia regional consultation meetings are invite-only. The consultation meetings on 27 February are open to everyone.

Steering Group (Volunteer)
CIPFA and Humentum, (the IFR4NPO initiative partners) are seeking a Chair and Members to join an expanded Steering Group. The Steering Group is an advisory body established with the specific aim of exploring and concluding on the pathways for the development and maintenance of high quality financial reporting for NPOs. Apply before 26 Feburary.
We aim to provide events at times and in languages to facilitate participation by a wide range of stakeholders around the world. Please complete this 2-question mini-poll to let us know your preferred time for attending events, and which time zone you live in.
ACCA Global has published a helpful analysis of differences and similarities between the proposals in INPAG ED1 and GAAP in UK & Ireland, which may be useful for stakeholders in those jurisdictions as they prepare responses.
