Marcelo is a PhD candidate at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario – Argentina, Master in Auditing and Finance from the Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial, Certified Public Accountant and Commercial Engineer with mention in Productivity from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. He has also received training in Environmental Accounting and Forensic Accounting in Colombia and Peru, respectively.

He is currently Ecuador’s representative in the Technical Commission of Accounting Research of the Inter-American Accounting Association, as he considers himself an Accounting Researcher passionate about Accounting Theory, where he has developed a technological approach called Systemic Accounting, which reflects the principles of Systems Theory applied to monetary and non-monetary Accounting.

Marcelo also has extensive experience in financial accounting, management accounting, implementation of accounting information systems, forensic expertise, and, lately, environmental accounting and accounting for non-profit organizations, from where he will provide his contingent for the INPAG project.
