Biography

Jenny Carter is Director, Accounting & Reporting Policy and leads the development and implementation of the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) strategy for standards and related guidance in respect of Corporate Reporting.  This includes the FRC’s work on UK accounting standards (UK GAAP) and other corporate reporting guidance.  She rejoined the FRC in 2010 and, prior to her current role, had been the FRC’s Director of UK Accounting Standards which included oversight of the Charities SORP.  Jenny is a chartered accountant, having qualified with PwC.  In addition to a secondment from PwC to HM Treasury and a previous period working for the FRC, Jenny spent four years as Head of Technical Accounting at the BBC.
