Biography

CPA Risper Olick is a resourceful and accomplished professional with over fifteen years of experience in financial management, administration, operations, compliance, governance, and project management. She is currently the Associate Director of Finance & Administration at HealthRights Kenya and has previously worked as a consultant in finance and tax matters.

Until December 2020, she served as the Finance and Administration Manager at Amnesty International Kenya, where she worked for ten years. During her tenure, she successfully set up an efficient accounting system from scratch and implemented an e-system that enabled staff to work seamlessly from home when COVID-19 struck. She also coordinated the Wapi Nduru program, which trained over 400 accountants on safe whistleblowing in partnership with UNDP, Amnesty International Kenya, ICPAK, and other partners.

Earlier in her career, Risper worked with World Vision Kenya, overseeing Finance and Supply Chain operations across Nyanza, Western, and parts of the Rift Valley.

Risper currently serves as a Council Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). She is also a board member of the Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSASB) Kenya, where she represents ICPAK, chairs the Accounting Standards Committee, and is a member of the Audit, Risk, and Assurance Committee. Additionally, she serves as a board member and treasurer of IntraHealth International, an NGO.

She has previously served as the Deputy Chairperson of the Siaya County Assembly Audit Committee and as a trustee and treasurer of the Young Women Leadership Institute (YWLI).

CPA Risper holds an MBA (Finance) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi. She is a CPA-K, CS-K, Certified Grants Accountant, Certified Professional Mediator, and Corporate Governance-certified. She is currently a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) candidate at USIU-A, specializing in Leadership and Organizational Change.

She is also a member of the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK), the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS), and the Women on Boards Network.

As I volunteer my service to IFR4NPO, I am motivated to empower change and ignite progress. Here my passion meets purpose, and together, I hope we will shape a legacy of positive impact for a better tomorrow in NPO financial reporting across the world.
