Leslie Williams is a professional Accountant, fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with over 28 years’ experience in the accounting field, around 20 of which has been with the Not for Profit sector. Passionate about systems and procedures and very keen on compliance and anti-fraud and misuse of funds, Leslie is currently the Head of Finance, Irish Aid Sierra Leone and Liberia. He is also a member of the governing council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone and the current Chair of the Education committee of the said Institute. An active board member of Rainbo Initiative, a national NGO offering free medical and psychosocial support for survivors of rape in Sierra Leone. Leslie was very instrumental in introducing the Composite Standard 1 for Private and Public Not for Profit Entities in Sierra Leone, (CS1) a slimmer version of the UK SORP, for reporting by Not for Profit entities based in Sierra Leone.
