Role: Regional Finance Management & Finance Development Delegate, IFRC
Alper ASLAN has over 15 years of expertise in auditing, management, and finance. His career history includes managing projects at field and Head Quarters level in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Asia and North Africa beside designing and drafting budget proposals for programs in United Kingdom, Jordan, Palestine, Turkey, Iraq-Erbil, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, Kosovo, Pakistan, Uganda, Sudan, and India. Moreover, he has extensive experience in managing finance departments and staff remotely such as in Syria, Libya, Albania, Russia, and Bosnia.
He previously served as ARC’s Regional Financial Controller to USAID regional projects based in Jordan. Currently, he leads and provides strategic direction to the finance team’s Asia focus group. He has a deep knowledge of USAID and US Government funding systems, trends, and regulations. Also, he has practical experience of dealing with multiple donors such as ECHO, Sida, Cafod, DFID, UNICEF, OCHA, DEC, UNDP, WFP, UNHRC, OFDA and UN.
