Biography

Dr Marcia Brandon is the Managing Director/Founder of the Caribbean Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Livelihoods (COESL). She is also the current Secretary- General for the Barbados Association of Non-Governmental Organizations. She is a social development specialist with expertise in NGO management and entrepreneurship development. She has experience and track-record in starting and managing entrepreneurial NGOs in the Caribbean over the past 20+ years. She has mentored and/or coached over 30 NGO professionals and over 4000 entrepreneurs in techniques and know-how for successfully operating their organizations.

Marcia is passionate about helping NGOs and entrepreneurs to develop sustainability models based on what works well in areas including good governance, innovative approaches to implementing their programmes and projects and impact visibility. She is a member of many Boards and committees in the Caribbean region and has presented on topics relevant to NGO sustainability and entrepreneurship on a global scale. She is known for her love of the people of the Caribbean region and her passion for creating networks and connecting people.
